Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is Delaware’s only Hyatt brand hotel and will begin accepting reservations in May 2013. Featuring a variety of spacious rooms and suites overlooking the Rehoboth Bay and Atlantic Ocean, Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is perfect for the blended lifestyle of work and play. Hyatt Place Dewey Beach will offer the core elements for which Hyatt brand is known, including spacious 21st century guestrooms and suites; freshly prepared food available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; complimentary Wi-Fi access; and friendly staff trained in all areas of the hotel to assist guest with an array of services. Hyatt Place Dewey Beach will also offer a lounge and bar, state of the art convention center, indoor pool and fitness center.

Dewey Beach Enterprises
Dewey Beach Enterprises (DBE) is owned by three principals who bring together their distinguished careers in property redevelopment, general contracting, and hospitality. Eager to tackle a challenging redevelopment project, the DBE partners purchased the Ruddertowne parcel (now known as Lighthouse Cove Dewey Beach) on October, 31 2007. The partners’ vision is now becoming a reality, with Phase 1 construction of the project expected to open in September 2013.
E. Thomas Harvey III (Thom), President of DBE. Thom is the president and chief executive officer of Harvey, Hanna & Associates, Inc. (HHA), a commercial real estate development company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. HHA owns and manages more than 3 million sq feet of prime commercial/warehouse, business campus, industrial site, and retail shopping centers in Delaware and Maryland. HHA currently serves diverse range of businesses ranging from sole proprietors to major multinational organizations. David N. Sills, Treasurer of DBE. David is the president of Daystar Sills, Inc., a general contracting and construction management firm located in Wilmington, Delaware. Founded in 1991, the Daystar Sills portfolio has encompassed the design, planning and construction of commercial, retail, restaurant, office campus, educational, institutional, and mixed use projects. The Washington House mixed use project (180,000 sq ft) located in Newark, Delaware, in the heart of University of Delaware, has helped transform the city core to an upscale residential/retail village for the 21st Century. James E. Baeurle (Jim), Secretary of DBE. Secretary and Director of all current restaurant and retail operations at Lighthouse Cove Dewey Beach ( Mr. Baeurle brings a distinguished career in restaurant and hospitality interests, having served in management positions with Highway One, Ltd., with its extensive holdings in Dewey Beach, including restaurants, nightspots, and other commercial establishments. Mr. Baeurle is also partner of the Washington House mixed use project and oversees the operation of the world-class 16 Mile Tape House (formerly Stone Balloon Winehouse) at this complex.
